WAIKATO AIR GUN CLUB WILL CEASE TO OPERATE AS OF 18TH JUNE 2023.
This is forced upon us by the police and their new range regulations and firearms laws that are suppose to keep us safe, (tell the gangs and criminals that)  all they are doing is punishing the responsible guys who just want to enjoy their sport.
A lot of us have spent a lot of money on rifles to enjoy our sport etc and now basically to be forced out is barbaric by the police who only want firearms for themselves
Also to charge $600-$700 for a update or firearms licence is bloody ridiculous and totally unfair, this is cruel on a guy that has just one rifle to enjoy his chosen sport and it’s just another way the police are forcing responsible people out of firearms.
A sad day for our club which is the most active in NZ.

The club shoots field targets and Hunter Field Target, which are reactive type targets. We offer three position types to help build skill and experience.

Safety

Since an air rifle uses compressed air to propel the pellet, it is not technically a firearm. However, safety remains first and foremost at the club

Location

We shoot at both indoor and outdoor ranges, and cater for all skill levels from beginner to experienced. Contact us for information.
