Founded by President Brian Furth in 2007


Brian Furth has won several national titles in the sport of air gun field target shooting, and in 2014 competed at his first World Field Target Federation World Championships, in Wellington. He came away as the spring gun veterans (60-plus) champion as well as being the 10th spring gun shooter overall and the top New Zealand shooter.

New shooters are welcome.

Shooters under 18 years must be accompanied by a non-shooting adult, or have a Fire Arms License. Join the club for regular shoots, competitions, and occasional pest control forays.

Outdoor Range

We shoot field target or knock downs which are steel plated animal shapes with different size kill zones between 10-55yds which have to be hit for the target to fall down. 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month 10am.

Benchrest Shooting (Air Rifle) is now part of the clubs activities starting in the New Year.

Indoor Range

The range is situated at:

Hamilton Small Bore Rifle Club, Dey Street Hamilton East,next to the old cycle track.

Indoor Shoot every 1st and 3rd Thursday night 7pm
