North Island Field Target Association

Field target is an outdoor field shooting sport shot with air guns. Competitions are usually fired at self indicating steel targets placed between 10-55yds. As part of the New Zealand Air Gun Field Target Association, we promote Air Rifle Field Target shooting in New Zealand by encouraging appropriate conduct, safety, fairness and participation.

Outdoor Range

We shoot field target (or knock downs) pictured above which are steel plated animal shapes with different size kill zones placed at distances between 10-55yds  The kill zone (yellow) has to be hit for the target to fall down.

We also shoot 50yd Air Rifle Bench Rest and HFT.
